Removing barriers to connect.

Situation

Many video chat tools were built for tech-savvy users, making them frustrating for others. Link changes and app downloads created barriers to joining calls.

Designing with simplicity in mind.

Task

The task was to design a simple, browser-based video chat for everyday users. No downloads, no changing links—just one click to join from any device. The focus was on intuitive design, seamless performance, and removing barriers for non-technical users.

Bringing vision into focus.

Actions

DISCOVERY

Competitive Audit

Conducted a deep dive into leading video platforms to identify usability pain points and standout UX patterns. These findings shaped our understanding of user expectations and informed product requirements.

COLLABORATION

Stakeholder Alignment & Developer Partnership

Collaborated with cross-functional stakeholders and developers to translate research into clear, user-centered goals. Early alignment on technical constraints and opportunities ensured a feasible and focused product direction.

DESIGN

Scalable. Consistent. Efficient.

Built a scalable, accessible design system that streamlined MVP development. By standardizing components and reducing code duplication, it improved performance and made the UI faster and more consistent.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Testing for real-world reliability

I worked with developers to test call performance at different guest volumes. By identifying features that caused friction or lag, we made informed design changes—leading to a smoother, more reliable experience.
