Situation
Paycase Remit set out to solve a common challenge: providing users with a fast, secure, and affordable way to send money across borders. The goal was not only to streamline the sending process but also to offer recipients flexible options for how they received funds.
In a competitive and trust-sensitive space, the product needed to stand out with a user-friendly experience that was both approachable and reliable. We also wanted to encourage repeat usage by adding meaningful value for returning users. On top of that, a distinct brand identity was needed—one that could convey trust, simplicity, and global accessibility.
Task
Our goal was to design a scalable remittance platform, starting with users sending money to the Philippines. We needed to make the experience simple, trustworthy, and flexible—allowing recipients to choose how they receive funds. The design had to support future expansion while staying focused on a clean, user-friendly experience for the first launch.
Actions
DESIGN
Design System
To ensure consistency and scalability, I developed a robust design system. It included reusable components, clear typography and colour guidelines, and scalable layouts. This allowed for efficient collaboration with developers and made future updates easier to implement across the platform.
Custom Illustrations
To build user trust and make the experience feel more welcoming, I created a series of custom illustrations. These visuals helped communicate complex actions—like money movement and verification—in a friendly and intuitive way, aligning with the product’s approachable brand tone.
Scalability & Flexibility
While the initial launch focused on users sending money to the Philippines, the design was built to easily scale to additional countries and use cases. The modular UI and content structure allowed for seamless expansion without the need to reinvent the experience for each market.
